We had a great time at the St. Patrick's Day Parade yesterday. The weather wasn't great, so I didn't take any pictures of the parade from under the awning where I was standing/watching. Afterward we went to an old bar and had the best burger I've had in a while.
Somehow this picture of Krista, me, and Christina makes it look like the sun was shining. Trust me - it wasn't!
A few sweatshirts remain from when David and Todd had a firetruck that they drove in the parade every year, even though the firetruck has been gone about 10 years.
A highlight of our afternoon was being serenaded by the Garbanzos - a colorful collection of musicians who seem to know about five songs. ;)

Family Ties
David and I got to spend a lot of time with both of our families this weekend. It is unusual that David's aunts and uncles are all in one place, so we always try to see them when they are.
(Georgene, Marilyn, Bubs, Jo)
We always enjoy listening to his Uncle Bub's stories. Even those that we've heard before are fun to hear again - especially to see how Bubs will embellish it this time!
His Uncle Paul is 95, and we learned that his longevity might be attribute to gravy! That's an idea that I can get behind!
Lots of stories were told, and we love seeing everyone. Hope to do it again soon!
Yesterday we celebrated my mom's birthday, but I failed to get any pictures. Today I went to lunch with some of my side of the family. Always good to see my grandad!

Con, Grandad, and Mom
And the peanut gallery (and our drivers!)
It was a great weekend, even if we did lose an hour!
