A few changes around the house

 New shelf for old toys

 New bench in the kitchen, made by Gale Castner and painted by his wife

 "New" old sofa - we had this reupholstered.  I can't believe how great it looks, especially compared to how it looked before.

A small touch of fall

Gracie

Gracie is has settled into her role as an only child quite nicely.  She's had four-legged siblings since I brought her home in 2005, but she doesn't seem to mind being an only. ;)

Hi

The blog has been silent long enough.  Our best buddy's battle with chronic kidney failure ended in the wee hours of the morning on July 1.  There are no words for how much we miss him.  No way to describe the empty spot in our hearts and our home.  He was, and will always be, the dog of our hearts.
