Some of our vacations take us many miles through several states. In June, we traveled many miles, almost entirely in one state - Texas. The first leg of our journey took us through some familiar territory - to Salado and Round Rock - on our way to a new-to-us destination: Harlingen to see David's sister and brother-in-law.
They really love their new town and have made lots of friends. While we were there, we ate fresh tortillas every chance we got, and enjoyed meeting some of their new friends.
We visited Port Isabelle, which I loved, and South Padre Island, but unfortunately the weather wasn't super cooperative. Clouds and rain threatened most of the day, and by the time we left for dinner, record setting rain had set in.
I failed to take many pictures of that leg of our trip, but we had a great time! It was good to see their new place and see how much they were enjoying themselves.
