Love Thy Neighbor

We really like our neighborhood - and the neighbors. They are all great. But I am beginning to find it challenging to love the neighbor who walks his dog and lets him poop in our yard. Especially when the offending poop is right by the mailbox. Where I will most likely step in it unless I clean it up. Ugh. And the weeds that have taken over the backyard of the recently abandoned house next door? Not loving that either.

Maybe you could find some cute, crafty sign (or make one) to post out near your mail box that says "Scoop your own poop"- - - or something close thereunto.

no - I suggest the mini tombstone inscribed "Here lies the last dog that pooped in my yard". My other suggestion is to use a rake to scoop the poop on the sidewalk... They'll get tired of stepping over it and get the point...

Ha ha! I like both the ideas! But now I have to confess...the man walking the dog is legally blind. That makes me sound like a big meanie for being annoyed, but it also means that signs most likely won't work. Stepping on poo in the sidewalk might have more effect in that case. ;)
