Seventy Years of Wedded Bliss

The main reason for our trip to Texas is to celebrate the 70th wedding anniversary of David's Uncle Paul and Aunt Georgene. That's right - seventy years. Don't they look happy together?

We also got to see David's dad's brother and sisters. From left to right are Jo, Marilyn, Betty (Bub's wife), and Bubs. It's always great to see this crew.
Uncle Bubs is a champion story teller and can usually be found surrounded by an audience. This trip was no exception. :)

Oh Erin...what an absolutely DARLING couple they are! They look deliriously happy together, don't they? Imagine, after seventy years of marriage, still feeling that way.

I know that's how my husband and I would feel, too, but I'm afraid we won't be given that chance. We didn't get married until later on in years. I'll be 54 this week and our eight year anniversary is this year, but we are still just like newlyweds.

He is definitely my soul mate. We have quite an unusual love story. I'll have to tell it to you sometime. It's quite beautiful, yet at the same time, it is sad. The Lord definitely wanted the two of us to be together, though--there is no mistaking that.

Please send David's Uncle Paul and Aunt Georgene my best wishes and tell them that I said congratulations and may they have many more years of a blessed and happy marriage.

Until next time,
God Bless You and yours,
~Cynde

ERIN: Do you like to read a good mystery? Then don't miss out on a chance to win a FREE copy of Kathryn Lilley's debut novel,"Dying To Be Thin: A Fat City Mystery". Read my review of the book and the simple CONTEST rules on my blog, Cynde's Got The Write Stuff. HURRY, though because the contest ENDS at midnight on Sunday, 12 July 2009. Good luck!

(One more note: there's been a problem with some of my links in the other posts I've made...but THESE are definitely correct! I'm awfully sorry for the confusion. Please forgive me! I made a boo-boo!)
