I would love to learn how to quilt. The odds seem to be against me though. I nearly failed Home Ec in 7th grade. My teacher was mean, but I was also quite incompetent behind the sewing machine. I wouldn't have made it without my Grandmother who bailed me out by helping me sew a pair of shorts - that I never wore. Ever the glutton for punishment, I took Home Ec again in high school. Much better teacher, but by the time I finished sewing my skort, I had outgrown it. Sewing machines and I do not get along. I will just have to continue appreciating the handiwork of others.

Thank Heaven for grandmas and grandmothers!! Yo' mama has a mending basket still full of "to do's" from the 70's!! I was hopeful that the seamstress talents had skipped my generation and passed on to yours. Sorry about that!
Love, MOM
I was still reeling from that gorgous red and white quilt for $11 then I got to the $1! Wow!
I feel the same about quilts - I have one made by my great grandmother. Maybe great-great. It has her name stamped on it. I love that.
Do me a favor and check your email please?
HA,HA,HA…
Gail, can I start referring to you as “Yo Mama”?
I Love it!

You know that I have sewn my own patchwork quilt, right? ...Back before Colby was born.
So if you ever want to do it, I could help you, as long as the pattern is not TOO difficult.
Oh...and I do remember those 7th grade shorts. HA!
